Paychex is a human capital management company. We’ve been around for over 50 years. We do payroll services across the United States as well as Europe. We have to protect bank account information, so security, it’s really, really important that we have sophisticated next generation bleeding edge technology services available to our clients.
We’ve seen a variety of attacks. Every company has insider threat, every company has external threats. We deal with both. We have over a hundred employees that are solely dedicated to cybersecurity at Paychex. No one person can do it all. No one organization can do it all, so partnership to me is somebody that can not only bring me a new technology to go look at, I think anybody can do that, that’s table stakes, but somebody that can add value, by offering up consulting services, being an advisor, even if you’re not buying something, somebody that’s always gonna walk the journey with you and understand what your desired business outcomes are.
Since our partnership began with GuidePoint, we’ve continued to build on the investments that we’ve made across our security stack, whether that you’re talking about governance risk and compliance, or identity access management or our fusion center, there’s been a variety of different strategic initiatives that we’ve been able to execute on over the last two and a half years, and partnership with GuidePoint, who has helped not only be a consultant on several different initiatives, but more of a strategic advisor in terms of where various program types are headed.
We do quarterly, business reviews with GuidePoint, where we’ll talk about some of those strategic initiatives, but also talk about emerging technologies or emerging threats.
