Ryan Silver is a Threat Intelligence Consultant on GuidePoint Security’s Research and Intelligence Team (GRIT), where he pursues various threat intelligence services and research on behalf of GuidePoint and its clients.

Ryan is homegrown at GuidePoint Security entering through an internship program known as GuidePoint Security University (GPSU) which effectively molds young talent into dedicated cybersecurity practitioners. Ryan joined GuidePoint through GPSU in 2022 and has largely contributed to the GRIT team since his beginning. Throughout his career, Ryan has invested in exposure management services, threat actor communications, dark web support in incident response investigations, and identifying emerging ransomware threats.

Ryan also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems from George Fox University where he played college baseball for 4 years. In addition to academia, he has earned his COMPTIA Security+ and GIAC GSEC certifications.
