Chris York is the Northeast Regional Partner at GuidePoint Security with more than 15 years of experience in IT and information security. Chris began his IT career as an engineer, earning a reputation for excellence in customer relationship management that established him as a leader in IT and information security sales. Before joining GuidePoint, Chris worked at RSA, the security division of EMC, through the acquisition of NetWitness. Prior to RSA, he spent four years designing and selling IT security, risk and compliance solutions for NetWitness and CoreOne Solutions, focusing on commercial enterprise customers in the Northeast. Chris has a B.S. in business administration with a concentration in management information systems from Salem State College.

Charlie Shields is the Northeast CTO. Shields brings over 15 years of working experience in the Information Security field. He also has experience working with numerous security solutions in various support and consulting roles. Prior to joining GuidePoint Security, Shields was a Systems Engineer at NetWitness working with small to large organizations to increase efficiencies and identify advanced threats. He has proven success in translating business requirements into technical solutions as a result of a diverse background in information security. Charlie Shields holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Rhode Island.

Tamara is the Director of Operations for GuidePoint Northeast. She joined GuidePoint in 2016 in Sales Operations and now leads overall operations including Sales Operations and Marketing. Tamara leads a large and highly skilled team of sales operations specialists who liaise with customers and vendors to make the sales process smooth and efficient. Tamara holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of New Hampshire.

Carl is the Sales Director for our New England and Upstate NY team. He joined GuidePoint in 2019 after leading winning sales team at multiple leading security solutions including SecurityScorecard, Cylance, Bromium and more. Carl is customer obsessed and enjoys leading customers from the first call to deployment, seeing promises through to fruition. Carl will happily shout from the rooftops that happy customers are his biggest advocates and will do anything he can to help his team have happy customers. Carl holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of Virginia.

Pete is the Sales Director for our New York Metro team. He joined GuidePoint in 2018 after a long stint leading sales at Netwitness, which was acquired by RSA. Pete has a large network of security professionals across New York and leads a strong team of expert advisors who are helping their customers remain secure amidst always evolving security threats. Pete holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from Lehigh University.
