Hermes Bojaxhi is a Principal Security Consultant with GuidePoint Security's DFIR practice, responsible for delivering holistic incident response services using state of the art host-based technologies. Using these technologies, combined with advanced methodologies, Hermes can assist clients obtain situational awareness and rapidly identify threats as part of tactical response to intrusions involving sophisticated adversaries that target intellectual property and other critically sensitive data.
Hermes joined GuidePoint Security from RSA NetWitness where he was a Principal Consultant who specialized in Digital Forensics and Incident Response for both targeted and opportunistic threats, including numerous nation-state sponsored attacks for clients across multiple verticals. He specialized in incident response, digital forensics, and threat hunting involving APT, ransomware, business email compromise, and insider threats.
Prior to this, Hermes worked at the United States Department of Defense (DoD) Computer Forensics Laboratory (DCFL) where he was team lead of the Intrusion Section. In this role Hermes conducted complex computer forensic examinations to support criminal investigations that included network intrusions, fraud, and possession of contraband material. Hermes has testified as a computer expert on Article 32 Hearings, Court Martial Proceedings.
Hermes holds a Master of Science in Computer Science with a concentration on Information Security from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts from St. John's College.
