Ryan is a Security Consultant on GuidePoint Security's Threat and Attack Simulation (TAS) team, where he has been sharpening his expertise in information security since 2022. He is a dedicated member of the TAS team, bringing a strong technical foundation and a proven track record across a wide range of offensive security engagements.
Since joining the team, Ryan has completed nearly 100 engagements spanning external penetration tests, internal penetration tests, phishing and social engineering campaigns, and wireless security assessments. With internal penetration tests comprising roughly half of his portfolio, he has developed a deep specialization in internal network assessments, making him a go-to resource for evaluating an organization's internal security posture. His experience spans a diverse range of industries, including manufacturing, finance, healthcare, and government/critical infrastructure.
Beyond individual assessments, Ryan has made meaningful contributions to the broader TAS practice. He has collaborated with operational technology (OT) experts to assess OT environments, bringing a cross-disciplinary perspective to complex engagements. He also led the development of the internal penetration test methodology, helping to standardize and refine how the team scopes and delivers one of its core service offerings. Additionally, Ryan has published technical research through a blog post, spearheading efforts to explore and share cutting-edge offensive security techniques with the wider security community.
Ryan is also a committed mentor, actively providing guidance and support to professionals both within the TAS team and across the broader security community. His dedication to developing the next generation of security practitioners reflects his passion for the field and his investment in the growth of those around him.
Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity from Grand Canyon University (GCU) and maintains the CREST Practitioner Security Analyst (CPSA) and Certified Red Team Professional (CRTP) certifications.
