GuidePoint Security’s Southeast Region raised $40,000 for the Shriners Hospitals
ST. PETERSBURG – DECEMBER 17, 2019 – GuidePoint Security is pleased to announce its Southeast Region’s annual charity golf event has raised $40,000 for the Shriners Hospitals for Children – Tampa.
The non-profit Shriners Hospitals provide specialty treatment to children with rare or difficult-to-treat orthopedic and neurologic disorders, and the money was raised through generous donations from GuidePoint Security’s customers, vendors, and employees.
“GuidePoint Security’s generous donation will help to transform the lives of many children and also serves as an example of how cause marketing makes good business sense”, says Alicia Argiz-Lyons, Development Director for Shriners Hospitals for Children® – Tampa.
GuidePoint Security’s Southeast Region held its annual golf charity event in the spring close to its St. Petersburg office. Now in its fifth year, the event brings together more than 200 leading cybersecurity experts, vendors and customers for networking, best practice sharing, and a round of golf in support of a good cause.

This amazing organization continues to inspire us and we can’t thank them enough for everything they do to help the children of our communities. Donations are raised in various ways, including proceeds from sponsorship sales, raffle tickets for prizes generously donated by cybersecurity vendors participating in the golf tournament, a putting contest and every golfers’ best friend – the option to get a few strokes taken off your score at the end of the day.
GuidePoint Security presented the check to the Shriners on December 13 during its annual Holiday party.
