Southeast Region Supports Toys for Tots
ST. PETERSBURG – DECEMBER 17, 2019 – GuidePoint Security is pleased to announce its Southeast Region’s annual holiday party served as a drop-off point for the region’s employees to help support the Toys for Tots Pinellas County, FL.
The Toys for Tots program is managed through the Toys for Tots Foundation and normally, locally-led by the Marine Corps Reserves. The Pinellas County program is led by a former Marine and they work closely with the Marine Corps Reserve Center located in Tampa, Florida.
“GuidePoint Security will be instrumental in putting smiles on over 7,000 faces this Christmas morning”, says Edward Zaleski, III, coordinating officer for Toys for Tots Pinellas County.
All Toys for Tots programs rely heavily on the local community to provide support. They need new, unwrapped toys for children ages zero to 12, but more specifically, they are always in need of toys for both boys and girls ages 10 to 12 and zero to 1. There are several ways to help the Toys for Tots program: Host a one-time event, become a toy collection site or simply volunteer. About Marine Corps Toys for Tots
The mission of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation is to assist the U. S. Marine Corps in providing a tangible sign of hope to economically disadvantaged children at Christmas. This assistance includes providing day-to-day leadership and oversight of the Program, raising funds to provide toys to supplement the collections of local Toys for Tots Campaigns, to provide promotional and support material and defray the costs of conducting annual Toys for Tots Campaigns. Other Foundation support includes providing administrative, advisory, financial, logistic and promotional support to local Toys for Tots Coordinators; managing funds raised and monies donated based on the use of Toys for Tots name or logo; providing other support the Marine Corps, as a federal agency, cannot provide; and conducting public education and information programs about Toys for Tots that call the general public to action in support of this patriotic community action program.
